Hi
{!firstname},

Welcome to my VERY FIRST
issue of VA Solutions!
After contemplating what I have
gearing up in my business this week, I may be changing the
name again. So when you get your second issue, do not be
surprised if the name of the newsletter changes to something
new and exciting!

I will tell you that it has
been a very busy couple of months for me and my family. What
proved to be a challenging May was my son, Dakotah (pictured
here with his teacher), taking the North Carolina
standardized tests that would determine whether or not he
got promoted to the next grade. And with determination and
some extra studying with his mom, he did it. HE’S GOING TO
THE SIXTH GRADE IN THE FALL!

But now with school tests and
stress behind me, I am now able to refocus on my business
and I am proud to announce that I will be holding a
*FREE* teleclass on the benefits and secrets of how you can
use WordPress to not only build your blog, but your website
too! It’s called “WordPress to Website” and I would love for
you to come join me! Details for the call are given in the
Events & Workshops section.

Oh, and I would LOVE your
feedback on what you think of my newsletter. Email me at
aletha@dcvirtualoffice.com
with your comments,
suggestions, etc.

All the best,

Aletha

If
you ever decide you want to have your own ezine or
newsletter, be sure to visit online at EZ Ezines at www.ezezines.com.

Tracey DelCamp and her team of experts will help you create
your ezine design, input your content into a format that is
easy on the eyes and will keep your reader’s attention so
your expertise is noticed.

I also want to recommend
using Aweber as your email and autoresponder broadcast system.

I tell my prospective clients again and again that it’s the
best system available in deliverability, usability and cost
effectiveness. That’s how I’m delivering my newsletter to
you! And if you were not already aware of this, you can also
set up your blog subscription through Aweber so that your
subscribers receive your blog posting right into their
inbox. No other system offers this feature.

5 Easy Ways to Write Content for Your
Blog

by Aletha McManama, VA and
Online Business Manager

Have you ever found
yourself stuck on what to write for your blog or someone
else’s blog for that matter?
That’s a challenge I face
all the time and it’s the reason why I do not post more
often. And it’s because I honestly do not have a plan of
action on what I want to write about.

So I have come up with some
tips that I think will help you and me get past the
“writer’s block” and have a plan of action AND a blog post
schedule that will put you on the right track to becoming a
successful blogger.

  1. Create a topic series
or a tip series and schedule the posts on a daily basis
    or a weekly basis.
    For one topic, you could
interview other experts in your industry and get some
    really good content to post.

  2. Create and send out a
survey to your industry and see what kind of topics of
interest your audience would like to hear more about.

This could be a goldmine for you! I recommend
SurveyMonkey to create and distribute your survey.

  3. Repurpose your old
newsletter articles or reports you have written in the
    past.
They make for great blog articles!

  4. If you are an avid
Twitter user, round up your best “tweets” and formulate
    blog articles from those.
    You would be surprised
what you wrote a week ago could be your best article
    yet!

  5. Devise a simple blog
posting calendar in Outlook or Google and set reminders
so you can remember that you have a blog article due.

Lastly, if you do not already
use
WordPress
for your blog (and/or website), consider
switching to their platform. I am a huge advocate of the WP
product and I will be offering training to those interested
in learning the system from top to bottom. If this is
something that interests you, email me at
aletha@wordpresstowebsite.com and I will inform you of the
training dates when they become available.
